I finally found the courage...
I went ALL-IN UTG PF with 85s in a SNG.
What a thrill! Especially, after everyone folded and I scooped the high blinds + antes at the time which I needed, I advertised and got a monster the very next hand. This was a very unusual SNG in that no one was knocked out in the first hour. Still have to work on that PF Aces fold. -t |

Its tough to know whether to congratulate you or not here without any chipcount information. But I don't want to ruin the mood, so nice work. "I advertised" You showed the hand? Now that's not very smart. You want to be able to do this repeatedly in this type of situation, not make it one shot deal and then hope to have the goods the next time. |

Re: I finally found the courage...
Glad it worked out for you, and of course it is possible to pull this off reasonably frequently with the right situation, so keep your eyes peeled for the chance.
But as the other reply said, you really don't want to show the hand. Don't know about you, but I see a lot more hands of the calibre of 85 than of AA, and I want my opponents to think it's the other way around... Guy. |

Re: I finally found the courage...
I am tight aggressive, I showed them this to mess with this fact, to add a little doubt.
I want calls! I am not making or calling bets with garbage 99.9% of the time. I got AdKd the very next hand and made a killing. Mind you I don't show hands that much... 8) -t |

Re: I finally found the courage...
nice, move but I agree with the others on showing. especially in a sit and go, you will and have to make more money by stealing hands then with waiting for monsters and getting callers, there is just not enough time to wait, esp if you play in ones that go an hour with no one out.

Re: I finally found the courage...
Why would you want calls when the blinds are high ?

Re: I finally found the courage...
The only time I show a hand is if I have stolen a few recently and I have a real hand. I am quite happy if they never call.
