66 is overpair on flop (with sidepot)
Prima 100$ 6-max (5-handed).
I'm in the SB with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Preflop: Utg (35$) minraises to 2$. Button calls. I call 1$. Now BB pushes his last 7.5$ and makes it 8.5$ allin . Utg (the minraiser) calls. Decision #1 Hero ... ? 21 in the pot, 6 for me to call, one real shortstack allin and the caller has 25$ left. BB has played less than 10 hands on the table, no read. UTG has played 80ish hands and is at 60/10, passive postflop. Fold, Call or Push? I called at the time but I'm thinking it's either fold (because one guy is allin and you might not have a coinflip here + you might get 2 opponent which would suck allin) or a push (because I want to get it HU allin for the 20$ in the pot). Basically I should only call if UTG had a deep stack, which he didnt. Flop 234 and I have an overpair with 66, believe it or not and a gutshot. Decision #2 There's 27$ in the mainpot, nothing in the sidepot (villian has 25$ left). Hero is first to act and does what and/or responds how to what? Sorry about the layout, there's still no hand converter for Prima, right? |

Re: 66 is overpair on flop (with sidepot)
I really hate this call preflop. There's so many hands that has you dominated, and at best you're trying to dodge 4, max 12 outs.
I fold my 55 here. Now that you're in this hand and villain is pot committed anyhow, I just check. |

Re: 66 is overpair on flop (with sidepot)
Fold preflop, most flops will come with 2/3 overcards and you'll be screwed. Min raise, flat call also suggests a big hand to me. You're a best 50:50 and probably dominated by UTG the BB or both. Easy fold when UTG only has another 25 you can win.
If you're going to play and you hit the flop that hard I think you probably have to push and hope both others have overcards but ugh. So yeah fold both times. |

Re: 66 is overpair on flop (with sidepot)
Fold preflop.
As played, I'd probably check-fold to a decent sized bet. I'd probably check and call a half-pot bet. Ryan |
