Last week was a bunch of fun for me. I bought no game, just gambo. Had a great time. But I am willing to bring a game(notice I didnt say "A" game). ;-p

And only for a coupla hours at most as .50-1 is boring to me
even though I always (cept last week) play to win. PM me and I am in during next 3 days/nites as I am off work.

I'll join if it stays serious. I enjoyed it the first couple of times when half the table was playing rather goofy but I didn't get much out of it. I'll bring whatever game I have and hope to learn. Any evening but Thursday work for me.

The A players involved need to agree to play their A game and not play crazy. Unfortunately I don't have the bankroll to throw away money on a screw around game

So you're saying the better your opponents play, the easier the game will be on your bankroll?

I actually thought about mentioning this. I agree that last night wasn't a "good hold'em" example. But there actually was stuff to be learned, I think. If nothing else, people should have been isolating me every time I raised.

I think the game last night, if you played in it every day, would be absurdly profitable (assuming people played the same way).

I believe it has been mentioned that play money was how it was done before with serious competition.

Maybe if people made a point starting with X chips and not re-loading, but keeping track of how they were doing (here on a thread), it would help things stay serious.

Just a thought.

I agree. I only sat down for about 10 minutes, but was dealt AA, KK, and AQs! How could a table giving me those cards consistently NOT be profitable?

Hey Michael,

I’m interested as well.

Like many that have already posted, I’d also want it to be a serious game. If it devolves into a goof-off game I think a lot of us, probably including you, will lose interest quickly.

Not sure if this would fly, but asking participants to show mucked hands might keep it more serious and also enhance the learning experience.

See you at the tables,
pf

Default When Is This Shindig Going Down?

What kind of a schedule are you thinking for this?

As a sidenote I'll mourn the death of the original table, where it would go from tight-aggressive to loose-aggressive mania in the blink of an eye. Services will be held on Friday for friends and maniacal family.

Sounds like a good idea, it also looks like you have more than enough players for one table.

Is it possible to create two or three 2+2 tables? (not sure how that works).

Thanks.
