Warranty on 2001FP

I live in Canada but I am taking advantage of the Dell 2001FP deal on right now and having my sister (who lives in the US) purchase it from dell.com and have it shipped to her place. I will then get it and pay her the next time she comes back to Canada. What will have to be done about the warranty on it? Will we be able to transfer the warranty from her name to mine, and will I then be able to get support in Canada? Isn't that what is done when american ebayers sell to canadians with a full 3 year warranty?
