Capping the flop without a specific read is semi-spewing IMO. It seems you let too much money go into the pot with a mediocre hand. Even though you made top two on the river I don't think I would raise as a set seems sooo likely given the previous action.

I think the flop cap is spewing without a read. I'd call his 3 bet on the flop and lead the turn, calling down the rest of the way if he raises.
But the way you played it I think the turn c/r means you're done and looks like a fold. He either has AQ, QJ (not as likely because of the flop 3 bet), or a set from all his agression and the strong move on the turn. On the River, I'd say its borderline between just calling his bet and raising. But raising looks better. |
