Re: JJ UTG, very first hand of a home STT
That's the perfect flop to check-raise all-in and get donk-called by ace high. If he has an overpair he has an overpair. c'est la vie

Re: JJ UTG, very first hand of a home STT
agreed, you clearly have the advantage but must be aware of the obvious danger he could be trapping, but the likelyhood of something to the nature of A7 suited with the raise preflop is unlikely. The Quad 7s are also unlikely. All of this goes without saying, go for it call and I'd say your a favorite to win the hand. He most likely missed the flop and expected a continuation bet from you and that is why he called so quickly. In the future: jacks are jacks raise 'em to limit the field and so who has real strength. Low flop I would bet about 3/5 the pot and see where his strength is.
