Re: $22 bubble 99 CO

[ QUOTE ] I would raise and call a push, I can't see folding to a push being +EV here. [/ QUOTE ] i think calling a BB push is nuts. calling the button might be right. [/ QUOTE ] i am pretty sure that calling the button would be a sizeable mistake. while BB's range is gonna be narrower, you have to have a much higher win% against the button to make calling him correct. |

[/ QUOTE ] i am pretty sure that calling the button would be a sizeable mistake. while BB's range is gonna be narrower, you have to have a much higher win% against the button to make calling him correct. [/ QUOTE ] if you were the button with 45s, you might decide to push. most buttons fold there, but sometimes that will get pushed. same for 22, 75o and a million junk hands - some chance that button will push given the stack sizes. on the flip side, BB will almost never push those hands. and 99 does really well against the junk hands. so it's not like we're just adding in AJ and KQ when we compare button to BB, it's a bunch of hands that we really don't want to fold to. [ QUOTE ] while BB's range is gonna be narrower, you have to have a much higher win% against the button to make calling him correct. [/ QUOTE ] currently stacks are 2k 3k 1k 2k. if you beat button, stacks are 4k 1k 1k 2k. if you beat BB, they are 4k 3k 1k. at 75/150, i think i prefer the 4k 1k 1k 2k (beat button) scenario. you're going to steal a crap-ton of blinds and wind up in 1st a lot more often than in the other case, i think enough to offset the occasional 4th. i'm not sure though - would love to hear some more input on that part. |
