point of poker as a profession is to make as much $$ as possible...

[/ QUOTE ]

I think that for the vast majority of pro poker players the point is to allow them the feeling that they are free to do whatever they want, whenever they want. And you don't need a million bucks in the bank to have that feeling.

I'm not talking about $$ being the oint of life.. just the point of why i work at poker.. Yes i enjoy it to, but i wouldn't be playign 60hours/week if i had all the money i wanted...

[/ QUOTE ]

Why don't you work 70 hours/week?

You might have more understanding of why you are wrong if you stopped using "I" so much.

Great post. Too bad the rest of thread defines the downfall of this forum.

I don't think there's been a downfall of the forum. I just think the median age has dropped substantially and close-minded views like many of those expressed in this thread, particularly by mplspoker, are merely a result of the difference in life experience.

Quite a remarkable thread...

A Jack Handy quote comes to mind...

"Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes."

I guess the internet serves the same purpose.

Good meeting you in Vegas Clarkmeister - nice icon.

I think the quickest way to make someone not like you on this forum would be to make a nasty remark attemtping to mar the character of either Tommy Angelo or Andy Fox.

I call it like I see it. Angelo's nit-like move that forms the basis of the instant thread was amateurish and unprofessional.

how can leaving a game in which one does not feel comfortable ever be unprofessional, regardless of when it happens?

I believe you can excuse yourself from a poker table in a professional manner without causing further aggravation to a player obviously having an unsuccessful and unpleasant evening.

Tommy Angelo is, in my opinion, an ass and a second-rate poker player.
