[ QUOTE ]
Please show me where in the TDA rules it says that. [/ QUOTE ] The proper thing to do (if heads up) would just be to go all-in instead of making this move. However, while it may not be in the TDA rules anywhere (I haven't read them, I'm not being a nit), many tournaments allow you to request what your opponent's chipstack is from the dealer/director, who then will give you an actual chip count. Additionally, you are entitled to ask questions about your opponent's chipstacks, or walk over there and count them out without touching them, if someone's a complete nit. If you were to bring up the TDA rules in every home game you were in, I would fail to see how you would be invited back to games. Additionally, the TDA rules do NOT always apply to every tournament - the casino's rules or house rules do. Where they are in conflict, the casino's rules take precedence, and a tournament director's decision is final. Al |
