($22) JJ on the bubble
How's my line? Im trying not to be results oriented but:
Normally I'm pushing every time here; however, UTG is a solid player and his limp concerned me, and button loves any two face cards. My plan was to push a non ace/king flop Am I being weak/tight here? Seat 1: HERO [ JD, JS ] ($2,030 in chips) Seat 5: SBPocketAces ($1,812 in chips) Seat 8: VBTHUR1 ($7,985 in chips) Seat 9: kukleklu ($3,173 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS SBPocketAces posts blind ($200), VBTHUR1 posts blind ($400). PRE-FLOP kukleklu calls $400, HERO calls $400 , SBPocketAces calls $200, VBTHUR1 checks. FLOP [board cards 7S,AH,9D ] SBPocketAces checks, VBTHUR1 checks, kukleklu checks, HERO checks . TURN [board cards 7S,AH,9D,6D ] SBPocketAces bets $800, VBTHUR1 calls $800, kukleklu bets $2,773 and is all-in, HERO folds , SBPocketAces calls $612 and is all-in, VBTHUR1 calls $1,973. RIVER [board cards 7S,AH,9D,6D,AD ] Thanks, HC |

My plan was to push a non ace/king flop [/ QUOTE ] How about if a Queen flops? Don't be silly. You have 5 BB left and have the 4th best hand preflop. Push. |

Re: ($22) JJ on the bubble
I think you have to push preflop. Some of the reason he may only be limping is because there are 2 shorter stacks than him, and he fears being busted by the BB. He doesnt have to have a huge hand IMO. Don't let random reads of $22 opponents influence you this much. |

Re: ($22) JJ on the bubble
I know you're afraid of bubbling out...but there are LOTS of other ways too. Devaluing and trashing your strong hands is just of them, for instance, I prefer getting caught pushing with 75d...but thats just me.

Re: ($22) JJ on the bubble
Umm... You have JJ. JJ is very, very good. JJ is good enough to push here. Push JJ and be happy.

Re: ($22) JJ on the bubble
He is limping because he knows you are scared. People limp cos they can get away with it.
If he had aces he'd still make a minimum raise. Letting everyone in with JJ is a poor play. |

Re: ($22) JJ on the bubble
Push preflop. This is simple. If he slowplayed a monster then ohwell, but if he's solid he isnt limping with aces or kings here. Push is the only play.
