Default Firefox and poppups

I recently started getting popups through firefox. Did the popup companies finally put the time in to write the programming to make the popups work in firefox. I still get the message along the top saying that firefox has prevented a popup, but in reality it comes out.

Anybody else?

I get them here and there in Firefox even though I have a pop-up blocker.

Yes. The greater security is reason enough to get Firefox, but it's also quite a bit faster than IE; I really noticed it right away. And the tabbed browsing, though IE has that now, I understand, is very nice. And I get far fewer pop-ups, and the plug-ins are pretty good in general.

It's definitely worth giving it a try. I can't imagine anyone not liking it.
