What\'s the ruling here?
Action is post-flop. Player 1 bets. Player 2 calls. Player 3 pushes all of his chips into the middle (only about twice the original bet) but does not say raise or all-in. He simply pushes his chips in. The dealer, not realizing this, turns the next card. Soon after, he realizes that Player 3 has gone all-in. He argues that the card should stand because just pushing in chips without specifying is a call. The hand is played out and player 3 is eliminated.
Later on, other dealers on the floor and players are asked what would be the correct call; some say it was played properly, others say the turn card should have been put back in the deck, and the deck shuffled, with a new turn card. What is the ruling? |
