settle an argument?
My friend and I had a debate...who's right?
Just want to know your standard play here. 3 players left in a 7 player Sng. Button is a known LAG and raises 3 times the BB (600 total). Leaves him with (2000) You are in the BB with JJ, you have (3000) What's your standard play? Thanks in advance, we have a $20 bet FWIW |

Re: settle an argument?
definite push. the LAG factor makes me wonder how someone could argue otherwise, let alone bet money on it. does your friend want to call first or something?
I mean, maybe you can reraise him ALMOST all in (like leaving him w/ 200 chips or something), but that is essentially the same thing. |

Re: settle an argument?
Reraise allin. I would say there is at least a 50-60 percent chance that you have got him dominated 2.5 to 1 or better (i.e., a9, at, lower pocket pair). Then another 15-20 percent chance you are on a good side of a coin toss (ak, aq). Only a 10-20 percent chance you are dominated. I think at this stage, already in the money, allin is correct against the LAG BB.

Re: settle an argument?
Obvious push. End of story. But you might want to flop JJx for for good measure.

Re: settle an argument?
I'm assuming that the SB folded (leaving him with t2100).
Push all of it in. If he has air, he will fold and you get the pot, if not, you are about a 53% favorite against overs and dominate any random hand. Good luck. Slacker |

Re: settle an argument?
how many pay? Not that it matters...push
how much does the other stack have? 50k? 50? if 50 I might just call. honestly there are variables that you left out that MIGHT change my answer. |
