Re: Online poker is rigged or Strange things happening to often.
This is either
1. The most pathetic, idiotic post ever made on any internet message board anywhere in the history of time (and that's saying alot) or 2. A really awesome joke/parody post. If it's #1 then I pity you, in the same spirit as you would pity a retarded child trying to shove a big square peg into a round hole. |

Re: Online poker is rigged or Strange things happening to often.
keep in mind we are playing in a situation that uses a cmomputer program mot acutall cards. and it will not guarantee randomness. What i describe is something isee on Ultimate Bet while i never notice this on any other site. I do not suggest this is intentional. Simply that this may be a bug that occurs in the program that was never intended to be. You tell me the odds of getting same hole cards and then having the hand conclude with you getting the same hand as before.
With new poker sites being developed almost daily Being able to know that it is free of any software bugs is a good thing. some of the other problems in softwaare is how i t calulated payouts for online tournaments. implying it will pay you if you get to the final table but only pays the winner. |

[ QUOTE ]
I will call later if I see the same hole cards with in the next 5 (five) hands. [/ QUOTE ] So just to be clear. The number is 5? Do I have it right? I can't tell you how many times I mistake 5 for the number four. |

Re: Online poker is rigged or Strange things happening to often.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Re: Online poker is rigged or Strange things happening to often.
Here's something else that I thought was strange:
I got pocket Aces and won. Four hands later (or was it five?) I got pocket Aces and guess what?...I WON AGAIN! I think I'll email support and ask them if their software is buggy! |

Re: Online poker is rigged or Strange things happening to often.
1. I have a BS in Computer Science.
2. I work as a software developer. 3. You can make shuffling software to do WHATEVER you want. You can make it rigged as possible. You can make it so that is deals pocket ace's every hand. You can make it so that J5o always wins. You can make it intentionally deal KK vs. AA, etc etc etc etc. You can also make it 100% random. 4. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean it is a good idea. I COULD go drink a gallon of battery acid right now, but that doesn't mean I will. 5. There exist such random number generator algorithms (at the heart of shuffling) that are for all intensive purposes impossible to crack. Anyone who knows the algorithm and it's inputs can of course predict the output and therefor it's not "random" in a mathematical sense, however the inputs are random (what time is it, what are the GUID's associated on everyone's network cards, how long a response time did that guy take, etc. etc.) therefor even if someone knew the exact algorithm one would STILL not be able to predict the outcome due to the fact the inputs are not given and those inputs are random. 6. The algorithms used at the big poker sites produce a MORE randomized, fair shuffle than a human being can using the traditional method of shuffling/cutting, say in a home game. That is due to the fact that where the card exists in the deck before the shuffle has impact on where it ends after the shuffle. Cards next to each other have a greater probability of winding up next to each other than two cards at opposite ends of the deck. Therefor a poker sites shuffle is SUPERIOR to a human being's shuffle (given the traditional method of shuffling a few times, followed by a cut). 7. I wasted alot of time typing out this response and no matter how coherent or logical it may be it will do little to change your mind about anything you "believe" about poker site X. An insane person who genuinely believes there are bugs all over them will continue to believe so even when presented with rock solid evidence to the contrary, due to the fact he is insane and has no interest in facts, logic, or reality. |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually with today's technology, computers can have random number generator that is truely random. Computers used to use a function to produce a random number. Today's computer have hardware that can obtains a random value by measuring the thermal noise across a resistor. Thus ensuring that modern day degenerate gamblers have nothing to blame their losses on. |

Re: Online poker is rigged or Strange things happening to often.
Never underestimate the idiocy of human beings.
There are people, brilliant people (doctors, lawyers, business tycoons) who go into casinos and play their "lucky" numbers and their surefire "systems" Humans have very selective memories. We tend to remember things the way we WANT to remember them and see what we WANT to see. Dellusion and denial make -EV gambling possible. |
