I can't believe you have an NHL '94 avatar. There was a time when I considered myself the best in the world at that game. I'm still not too shabby, but alas I no longer play 4 hours a day!

Last tuesday, my buddy had his 21st. We went to a bar, we have never been too before. They had a sega, to play, for free. We played '95 for about 2 hours.

You beat the party 5/10$ for a decent amount? How much would you say?
(hours you put in for how much you make...)

Do you multi table or play 1 table?

How much should I deposit? $500. isn't enough. And I don't want to dep. $3000.
Do you have $1000. swings there often?

Like I said I beat the 5/10 and 10/20 on other sites, just not Party,

Thx.,
Joe M.

I 4-table 5/10 6-max. I've been a little over 2BB/100 winner over the last 70k hands. 2.6BB/100 with rakeback. This roughly amounts to $100/hour. To give you an idea of swings check out my graph:

Wow, looks
like you got some 200 Big Bet swings in there!
I stand corrected...
(I stated before that a 1500$ downswing meaant "you suck" to a guy...lol...
I was at my "day job" (that I'm talking about quitting in the Magazine Forum)
and get upset easily while I'm there...)

You play 6 max, so I gather thats the place to be (bad opposition).
5/10 full table/10 seat is so bad that you must be an idiot to play?

Wow - thanks, I may just go to the 6-max then...How about 3/6 and
2/4 6 max - any good at party?

you play at 10/20 or 15/30 at all obsidian?

What software you use?

Do you
recommend I get something like PokerTracker?
Is it
a pain to use/waste of time/good investment?

Joe M.

Ps. after you shot up a bunch of big bets, you shot back down over a short period
(later on the graph - b/w 42-50K hand mark...). Do you attribute this
to "getting sloppy" after killing the game so fast so quickly?
After I have a huge upswing I tend to play looser and trust the RNG
more...lol

I would suggest the 3/6 6-max on party or the 2/4 6-max on pokerstars for sure. Both are good games. I play 6-max because, as others have said, the table selection is generally better. I use Pokertracker and Pokerace. Both are well worth it.

As I have progressed in that graph I have become looser, but that is normal progression. Generally you should start with tighter play and start loosening up as you advance and get better. I don't consider any of my downswings the result of becoming sloppy after a win.

Also, I have only recently moved to 10/20 6-max. I don't plan on moving to 15/30 until I get at least 50-75k hands in and feel I am ready to move up. If you want to play shorthanded limit read the Heads-up & Short-handed forum. That's where I normally read and post as I am mostly a lurker in the mid-high since I'm not really a mid-high player.

I will destroy you both in '95. That is the pinnacle of the NHL series. I usually play against my friends as Ottawa with their 6 worst players in (no goalie) and win.
