Default 2x JJ hands for analysis...

Hand 1 :

Vilain in hand 1 is VERY loose. He often call down with anything flop + turn and fold the river. I felt really stupid about betting the river... What could he possibily have beside a missed/completed draw which he is going to fold or raise or a 9... Anyone think it's more like a check/call or bet/fold even if I have an overpair ?

Hand 2

Vilain here is pretty loose and agressive. The other guy is loose too. I think vilain in this hand will bet me with a worse/better hand to the river if checked/too. He bluffs a lot or bet with the worse hand a lot too. HE doesn'T give much of free card.

I decided to take a passive line. My goal was to see a showdown as cheaply as possible.

Anyone else find this line kinda good ? Let him bluff/bet into me or do I have to take the lead and take a hard decision if raised ?

Hand 1 is a must bet on the river. You will get called by A high a bunch and even worse sometimes. He could also easily have A3, A4, or A5 suited or not or a couple of other pocket pairs. When he raises you are probably beaten, but he also thinks that you probably don't have any of this board and that makes me call the raise.

Hand 2 you can't fold heads up vs this guy, who is a maniac by my definition. If you think the other opponent will fold a Q if faced with two cold, then I would raise the flop and then just grit my teeth and call down if he folds and button raises. Matter of fact, I go into check call mode on the turn even if he doesn't 3-bet provided that the other guy folded on the flop.
