Default Cat5 Hurricane Energy

Just curious about this...

Say we have a Category 5 Hurricane that does what it does for a full 48 hours. Now, take the total energy released by that Hurricane. If one were able to channel 100% of that energy into the building of a large city (say New York). Could the city be built completely using that energy alone?

I have no idea what the answer is, and I'm simply trying to get a rough idea of just how powerful a hurricane of that strength really is.

If my question isn't clear... try to interpret it as best as you can.
