Default Frozen Again

No substantive reads here: BB has been around 5 hands and played three of them. SB has seen 9 hands and has played 7 of them.

After the flop action I am thinking I'm behind to a set or perhaps AT, but I commit to calling and looking him up. Then the dreaded river check comes and I don't know what to do. As I look at it now it seems an easy bet/call (or is it bet/fold???).

As bad as this sounds, this would depend on the kind of day I'm having, as this is pretty marginal either way. I'm feeling a bet right now though. I'm sure we all can make a case for both, but to me this reeks like a flush+straight draw for BB and Ax for SB. This hand, IMO, also makes a case for 3-betting calling stations like the blinds were here

3 betting in position is something I'm trying to grow the sack to do. Anyone else agree with the 3bet pf?

A sack is not grown, a sack is born... or something. Anyways, interesting scenario I thought of... what would you have done if SB bet out and BB called? BB folded?

1)SB bets, BB calls....I call because I'm getting 15-1.

2)SB bets, BB folds....I put BB on busted draw, SB 2pr, Ax..I call getting 14-1.

Right??? Wrong???

I think you need to bet/call this...

SB is on a draw of some kind and BB checking that river blank indicates that he also is on some draw, My guess is that BB have KT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or something similar at least...

altaslim,

3-betting PF is a must here. most of the time you are going to knock out the blinds, and you will be taking control of the hand with position.

Looks like BB had a flush draw here, small chance of T6. SB has an ace weaker than yours or a draw. I go ahead and bet this river hoping to get paid off.

you have to bet that river... why would they suddenly check better hands to you? easy bet. if you do get check-raised yeah it's worth one more bet to see a showdown.

also 3-bet preflop, aq is a monster shorthanded.
