Default AK 200NL hand.

Background on hand: Villain stats are 37/17/2

Party Poker (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
MP :#A500AF(Villain)/ checks, 2 folds.
one limper, I raise to $7 in the SB, Villain calls, and dead blind (UTG) calls. limper folds

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)Pot size : ~23 I bet $18
BB folds. Villain calls

Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)Pot size : ~$55
.I bet $35, Villain raises $50 to $85. Hero??

In this case I called, I felt due to his stats (laggy)he could be on a semi-bluff but was unsure if he was representing the 9, my thinking was that my hand was strong but possibly beat. I decided to call down.

River: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)Pot size: ~$230
Hero checks, Villain bets $89 and is All-In)Hero??

In this case I called again, looked like a missed flush, or indeed the nuts.
Final Pot:

Results in white below:
Hero has As Kc (two pair, aces and nines).
Villain has 6d 7s (straight, ten high).
Outcome: Villain wins .

Pre-looking at results:

I don't know what stack sizes were but, I might have popped him back on the turn to about $120. If he plays back, fold in good conscience. What made hands could he have? Do you think he would have called PF with A-9? The only made hand he might be in there with is a 8-9s or a 9-10s. If he calls you may have bought yourself a free river.

Post looking at results:

He made mistakes, a lot of them, but got paid off. It sucks, that he was drawing to a straight with a boat on the board and it worked. Above is the only thing I would have done differently.

I dont understand how you could not push turn here...so many draws. Even if you are behind, under what circumstances do you plan on folding to a river push?

I got so used to playing against LAGs (i.e. just check and call down) that i got owned. in retrospect i butchered the hand and should have pushed
