Rules for the pool I am in.
1)Pick one team a week if they win your still in if they lose your out 2)CANNOT pick the same team twice. Who is a lock for this week? So far I have used the Bills and the Eagles. I know at most there are 7 people left out of the original 50 if that matters. |

im guessing its just straight up no spread, if so its ridiculously easy the colts would be the best bet by far, in fact i personally am betting a very high percentage of my bankroll on them to cover, there are no locks but this is as close as it gets

Wow dude. That seems like a really bad idea. Good luck to you. [/ QUOTE ] When i say large i mean 15-20%, and ill probably bet the same thing on the colts against the niners without a major injury.Obviously it would suck if both bets lose but they are the bets I like most all year and its very manageable if I lose. If you still think its a bad idea please elaborate with game specific reasons or other reasons if you have them cause I really want to know. |

[/ QUOTE ] Sportsbooks don't make a habit of offering easy wins. When you say you're betting a huge amount of your bankroll on one game, it is your responsibility to tell us why you're so sure if you want people to respect that decision. Because in general, betting 15-20% on a single game is a horrible idea. And this is especially true considering that you're betting massively on Colts-Browns and Colts-Niners, so it seems like you're just planning to lay tons of points since you think the Colts are much better. In general, that is not a winning strategy. |

San Diego over NYG on Sunday night [/ QUOTE ] Really? You don't think that SD is going to find a way to give another game away in the 2nd half? I am a Chargers fan, so maybe I'm overreacting to the first 2 weeks... but this team scares me a LOT right now. They were fortunate that the game against Denver was even close. Conversely, the Giants have looked better than advertised. I think the Colts is the pick if you are looking for a lock straight up and there are only 7 players left (so you don't have to worry about saving a team for week 9 or 10). FishNChips |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not talking about specific spreads -- I mean betting significant portions of your bankroll on any one game. Betting 20% of your roll on a game seems like an easy way to go bust.
