Fold that hand preflop. No reason to play aginst a raise and callers.

Tough luck after the flop, but I don't think you should be playing the hand in the first place.

Tough luck after the flop, but I don't think you should be playing the hand in the first place. [/ QUOTE ] While I do believe you should minimize the number of low EV hands you get invovled with, the pot odds in this situation are at least 6.5:1, so there is a schooling effect in play that would make a call justified with any two cards. Knowing that such a call is technically accurate, it's really your decision if you want to get invovled. This is all table feel. As you can see this is a case where it paid off. You flopped two pair and got it all in against top pair. He had 5 natural outs - ~21%, plus like 4% for the chance of the board hitting a pair. So you are 3 to 1 to win this hand when you got all your money in. The fact that he drew out afterwards is irrelevant... Though I always notice low two pair has a remarkable way of failing to hold up!!! |

Re: how was my play stars 5+.5
If you call every time there is a raise and callers, you are going to bleed many precious chips. This isn't a cash game, so pot odds aren't all you need to think about.

Re: how was my play stars 5+.5
Its $5.50 Level 1. You call a 4BB raise out of position (and first to act preflop) with two low ass diamonds.
Not a smart move. You may have had 3:1 odds, but it still wasn't a great call. You committed way to much on what looks like maybe the 5-6th hand of the tournament. |
