Default Did I get a little over anxious here.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed) converter

Button ($93)
SB ($88.30)
BB ($44.15)
UTG ($42.70)
UTG+1 ($95.45)
MP1 ($35.50)
Hero ($141)
CO ($100.25)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 raises to $3, Hero calls $3, CO calls $3, 1 fold, SB calls $2.50, 1 fold.

Flop: ($13) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $7, CO raises to $20, SB folds, MP1 folds, Hero raises to $138, CO folds.

Final Pot: $171

My thinking was that a diamond on the turn might kill my action or it could possibly kill my hand. Would a better play be to C-R all-in on the turn? He claims he held two-pair before he folded but I don't see anyone good enough to fold 2 pair here calling a pre flop raise with K9 or K7....maybe 97s, but that's a marginal call at best.

your reraise is way too big..it's only been raised to 20 and then you go up to 140....you didn't raise preflop so he has to put you on a set. I think a raise to $50 or $60 probably gets called and then you can probably get it all in on the turn.

His stack was shorter than mine...my re-raise was only about $70 more.

I like your line better than calling and going for the turn check/raise.

Im wondering about basically the same thing, because it seems like every time I get trips there's two to a flush on the board. Im wondering, over time, do you make more money by value bet/raising the flop, and then pushing non flush turn, or pushing them out of the pot with an incredible hulk-sized bet/raise/reraise on the flop?

I wasn't very worried about pushing a flush draw out here, it doesn't look like villain has one although it's always a possibility. I was more worried about calling the flop raise (making it look like I was drawing) then having a diamond fall and scaring him off his hand. And if I raise this to 50 or 60, I'm pushing no matter what the next card is, but he only had like 75 left at this point so I figured a raise to 50 or 60 was the same as an all-in.
