HULA ML Week 5

This is really a week 6 post, but since we don't currently have a week 6 thread, I'm posting it here.

We are home team for week 6 vs raisin's team. One of our team (aslowjoe) will be leaving Monday for 10 days vacation. So, I'm assigning his week 6 match now so that he can hopefully get it played before leaving town - at least he'll have a chance of doing that.

Aslowjoe vs Renaud Desferet

I've sent Joe email telling him and asking him to please PM Renaud and try to accomplish this. I'll make the rest of the picks once it is time to actually do that.

Have we started week 6 yet? I can't find a thread on it. I'd like to know when week 6 starts and when it ends please.

Two flakes equal a forfeit right? This is the second time Team TMFS9 didn't show up for a scheduled match. No man alive should have to take this abuse. I declare myself (juggernaut) winner against TMFS9 unless he contacts me within the next half hour.

TMFS9 showed up, it was a timezone mixup. Tough, hourlong match. I had him all-in a couple times early but he fought back to take the lead. A few magnificent river suckouts by me put him on the ropes again though.

I overcame an early onslaught and defeated Sammy_G in almost exactly an hour.


These things are REALLY easy when you hit so many flops and catch so many of your straight-draws.

He had a comeback in there too..including clobbering me with a higher flush on one hand.

But mostly he hung in there against me while I was catching so many big hands.

Match could have been over much faster.
3 times he got out of the way really fast when I flopped top-set with AA, KK and JJ. Just hoping he had caught part of it or was sensing YET ANOTHER microbob-bluff....but alas, I won nothing on those big flops....yet just kept on hitting good cards on the ensuing hands which I seem to be increasingly good at doing.

Nice work Bob. Alobar won as well, so I'm pretty sure that locks up another victory for Team Rawk. Awesome.
