wow. why the miniraise? why are you playing aces so scared. if your gonna check atleast check-raise flop. and dont miniraise

Re: maximum extraction with AA out of the BB
I wasn't playing them scared, i was trying to induce as much action as possible and i think minraise preflop indicates a great deal of strength because it is so hard to fold to (but i don't think low buy-in people tend to realize how strong it is...so i do it to keep the late postion raiser along for the ride who may well just be trying to steal the blinds...a big raise here earns my a whopping 400 chips, i can get those results with JJ, TT or perhaps even random garbage). as far as the flop, thats part of why i posted, to see if a check raise or a flat call is more likely to end up with the chips in the middle. also, it seems to me that a check raise only gets called by a king to which i am signficantly behind.

77-QQ will all call ur checkraise and you really didnt convince that a miniraise is worth anything

Re: maximum extraction with AA out of the BB
thanks for the input, i would not have guessed that the calling range would have been that wide if i would have checkraised all in. So that may have been a better play. I just think there is a common misconception that passive = scared and eliminating the ability to play a hand passivley will drastically cut down on your ability to get chips from overly aggressive players. Like this hand for example
