What do we think he has here? Assuming a standard/generic vllian, I'd say a PP, weak suited ace, or a hand like JTs. I'm also assuming he's not the type that would bet into you on the turn if he only had a flush draw.
So based on this, I pick option 2. If he has a set or a weak suited ace, I don't want to put more bets in when I'm drawing to 2 outs (assuming he won't fold his weak ace to a turn raise).
If he has a PP or JTs/QTs/etc then I don't want him to stop betting into me.
However, in this particular hand I might be more inclined to raise the flop to find out where I'm at. I don't think you lose much (if any) value with this line since I think we're behind in this hand most of time against a reasonable opponent.
