Default I offer a hand I butchered for learning purposes. T2o in BB.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

While multi-tabling I clicked the check/fold button on this hand.
I was involved in two other hands when prompted to bet or check this flop.
The rest lay before you...button is 29/6/2.4, MP2 is 59/0/0.4, MP3 no read.

Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, CO checks, Button bets, SB folds, Hero calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero raises, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button 3-bets, Hero calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls.

River: (17.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, MP3 calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 21.50 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ts 2h (two pair, tens and twos).
MP2 has Ks 6s (flush, king high).
MP3 has Qs 9c (one pair, nines).
Button has 8c 8h (three of a kind, eights).
Outcome: MP2 wins 21.50 BB.

Good fold. How did you know the flush would come in like that?

bah!
dude just own up to wearing the fancy pants!!! (j/k)

you were sunk no matter what methinks.

but in any case, i do think betting this particular flop is better than attempting to check raise. oh wait, you didn't even check raise the flop!!!!!

If you look closely you will see that checking the flop allowed button to play and make a set of 8s on the turn.

Betting this must be the bettor play.

Flush beating me on the river is beside the point.

yeah. betting the flop is better. one could possibly argue that a 6 way flop gets checked around exactly never and someone would bet allowing you to either check raise a LP bettor to drive people out or a EP bettor to pump the pot. however, screw that, betting is better imo. you might have even folded 88 though i doubt it.

hi & welcome

the numbers refer to stats from the pokertracker software program. the first is VPIP (voluntarily put $ in the pot %), the second is PFR (preflop raise %), and the third is postflop aggression factor. there is more info on these stats and what they mean in the Microlimit FAQ thread which is stickied on the first page of the forum (by btspider).
