worst airline ever.

America West used to have a horrible on time record three to five years ago... A couple years ago they got it cleaned up and were actually doing well.

A long time ago, David Letterman mentioned that he was booking a flight on AW from NY to Phoenix. When he was told the departure and arrival times, he remarked, "That's 7½ hours! It doesn't take that long to fly to Phoenix!"

The operator told him, "We're trying to improve our on-time percentage."

I highly recommend paying like $50 more and flying JetBlue instead.

I just checked out jet Blue flights and they do have a non stop to LV. Please tell me the pluses of this airline. I've heard good things but not speciics.

I think JetBlue is owned by Midwest airlines (formerly midwest express), i'm not sure on that though. Both are top of the line.

they're not bad - usually a movie on the flight out to kill the time -I fly them all the time in to Vegas -

they're merging with US airways soon anyways though...

The past 2 times I've gone to Vegas I've flown AmericaWest, roundtrip for $98. I haven't had any problems and its dirt cheap. As far as hotels go, last week I stayed at the Boardwalk for $30 a night (Monday-Thursday) and it wasn't that terrible.
