Re: Appropriate Toking Procedure for Tournament Staff.
Is there a generally accepted rule for toking the staff of a tournament? i.e.) Percentage of prize, relation to the place you came in, etc. I've seen people toke large amounts, relatively small amounts, nothing due to not winning a top prize, and there doesn't seem to be an accepted rule of thumb as there is in other things like tipping a waitress.
I have the same question about promotional jackpots as well. There doesn't seem to be an accepted rule of thumb regarding the dealer's toke, or is there? Does anyone know? |

Re: Appropriate Toking Procedure for Tournament Staff.
There is no generally accepted rule, though it gets argued about from time to time on the B&M forum. Personally, I usually do between 5-10%. The last live cash I had was only $140, and I just gave the house a $20 bill. The largest live cash I've had was only around $4k, and I tipped $250 for that. Many people will never toke, so just do whatever you're comfortable with.

Re: Appropriate Toking Procedure for Tournament Staff.
Most B&Ms take a mandatory toke out of your winnings so you dont have to think about it. The range Ive seen is 3-5%.
