Anyone know? If it's really simple/obvious then I apologize for my idiocy in advance.

[/ QUOTE ]

When you're dealing high card for dealer at the beginning of a tourney the Ace of Spades is the highest possible card. Now this could have nothing to do with Norman Chad's reasons for loving it though.

In some decks the ace of spade has a nekked lady in the spade graphic.

[/ QUOTE ]

Perhaps explaining how Chad gets along without those wives of his.

Way back in the day, there was a large tax/tarriff on playing cards in Europe. The ace of spades was supplied and or marked by officials to indicate that the tax had been paid on that deck. After the tax was abolished, card makers continued to decorate the ace of spades themselves.

Ace of spades is/was considered bad luck in Vietnamese culture. Back in the war, troops would set these cards everywhere to put the other team on "tilt", if you will.
Maybe Norm is prejudiced against the Vietnamese? Could be..I've heard him remark on how sexy middle-Eastern players were, as well as white, and black, yet never Vietnamese.

He was once heard to say of Men Nguyen: "I wouldn't sleep with him twice!"

You could have eliminated everything after "Chad" in your subject line and made a stronger point.

I think the shape just reminds him of a pair of boobs or a woman's rear.
