Default Party 100 NL 6 max: Nut straight, possible flush on the river. Call?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

It was a tough decision on river. I get 3.6-1 odds. Villain played the hand very awkwardly. I hadn't got a read on him. If I were on his seat I'd push all-in on the turn with a made hand. I wouldn't call 20$ bet with his draw because there isn't much to be won from me those times he gets there and is not against a better flush.

I just called the 5$ bet on the flop because MP was very aggressive and I figured that there is a large chance that he will raise here.

I'm totally lost on the river. Should I have played this differently? Is the river call bad? Did my opponent make a mistake playing his draw on turn, or am I the sucker here?

UTG ($119.35)
MP ($713.93)
CO ($65.65)
Button ($156.93)
SB ($100)
Hero ($81.90)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, MP raises to $2, 1 fold, Button calls $2, SB (poster) calls $1.50, Hero calls $1.

Flop: ($8) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets $5, Hero calls $5, MP calls $5, Button calls $5.

Turn: ($28) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $20, MP folds, Button calls $20, SB folds.

River: ($68) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $26.11, Hero calls $26.11.

Final Pot: $120.22

Preflop: Calling the miniraise is ok but play any pair on the flop carefully.

Flop: I raise this every time, MP is likely to not raise when 2 players before him show interest in the pot. He might even reraise a big hand and a push is good then.

Turn: As played I bet at least 25 here, probably pot. Give him bad odds for any draw.

River: I call the small bet.

The most confusing part of this hand is how did Villain decide on the bet of $26.11??

Definitely raise the flop. What if a J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] came on the turn?

I think you can play that flop fast. 2 pairs and sets are getting their money in there every time. You may even get a call from something like AK or KQ.

Flop:
Yes, now when I think of it I guess MP won't raise without a strong hand here (he wasn't a maniac). And if anybody is on a strong hand here I will get action no matter what. Thanks for the comments.

River:
My friend suggested that i should make a small sized blocking bet on the river (15$, maybe) so I'd get it clear if he has the flush or not. What do you think about it?

Raise the flop...you do this for a couple of reasons.

1) A flush draw isn't likely to fold here.
2) Your pot sized turn bet on a non-scary turn will be MUCH larger and more difficult to call.

I don't like your friends idea of throwing out a blocking bet because you'd have to fold it to a raise, and you don't want to fold this hand. I'd hope to see a showdown cheaply by checking. Also checking gives him a chance to bet worse hands.

my point of view
preflop folding maybe a good option with this marginal hand!
but calling this small raise without postion is very discutable, but this time your lucky you have hit the nut staight so we will continue with the rest of hand.

reraise the flop to 15 $ with the intention to push all in on the turn if no heart fall!

Prob Your vilain is on big card like A-Q A-J, AA-QQ-JJ
Another point (try to keep your stack at the 100$ max limit(because in this exemple you may loose 19,20 $ of your vilain stack)

sorry for my english guy i do my best
