If UTG had raised like he's supposed to with AK suited would you have pushed your 88 preflop?

No. Should I be pushing 88 preflop out of the SB?

PS- I hate the shortstack buyins too, and I know thats the consensus on this forum, but it is a viable strategy, as I sometimes buyin for the minimum even at my usual limit because it lets you play differently, and others play differently against you. It lets you change things up as well, keep things new and fresh, because its not just fold or push like some people think.

I figured that the other players would perceive me as the small stack taking a shot and trying to buy the pot

You bet $175 into a $240 pot on a paired flushed board, leaving yourself with $125. So, your thinking is, guys are going to put you on "making a move" here. OK.

As usual you say what I couldn't be bothered to.

No short stack is going to bet any amount here unless he's going to the felt.

Sorry to bother you with my stupidity, for future reference when a post is labeled LC the odds that its played wrong are pretty high. Anyways, I'm guessing a check raise allin might work better? I don't think it matters as the full house vs. flush in a game where you're shortstacked playing over your comfort limits doesn't come up much.
