Re: From the blind
Your three-bet on the turn is fine. Your call-down after he caps the turn is fine. Trips with a shitty kicker is a good hand heads up. Standard operating procedure.

Re: From the blind
Hi flop play is strange i guess, He doesn't reraise you on flop which in a way look like he doesn't hold a J.
Then he gets aggressive when "He hits trips"(Note the ""'s). Im really tempted to raise and call a 3bet on the river due to his flop play but i think ill call it. Whats his AF? VPIP/PFR%/AF is? Strange play by him in a way, He bets and calls the flop with top pair? His kicker must suck or his bluffing/"Slowplaying"(LOL @ slowplaying top pair) Then he check raises you and caps His "trips" Ah whatever, Looks fine just river is tempting... If you was SB i'd of bet then called his raise, but your not. |

Re: From the blind
his stats are 13/8.41/1.75 over 60 hands at the time.
results and speculation: he had pocket 4s. I think either he put me on a slowplayed JJ, or he was just slowplaying, knowing I'd fold to more aggression. wee |

Re: From the blind
Villain actually played pretty well.
After you raise the flop, he decied to just call so he could check-raise you on the turn. The fact that you "improved" to trips was just icing on the cake as far as he was concerned. After that it was just a matter of betting/raising at every opportunity. |

Re: From the blind
BTW, I would not have 3-bet the turn. A check-raise usually means business in this spot.

Re: From the blind
Call the turn (don't 3-bet), call the river. A check-raise on the turn is almosmt always trips here and your kicker is pretty garbage.

Re: From the blind
Even though you have trips on the turn, the check-raise is bad news for you unless villain is a known LAG posflop (which he probably isn't based on his early preflop stats). With AJ-JT, I like 3-betting it, but J6 is too weak. He sees that the board is paired, but he's still coming at you. I doubt that 13/8 villain limps many Jx hands worse than yours.
