Default Ultimate Poker Challenge near Detroit, MI

Does anyone have any other info. on the Ultimate Poker Challenge tournaments at the Point Edward Charirty Casino (Sarnia,Ont. near Detroit, MI) next week?? I know this may be a stretch but it's the first tournament series ever at a casino in the Detroit area and the only info. I can get is the schedule and number of players expected...

I still have the follwing questions......

1) Blind Schedules? Including length of rounds?

2) Number of starting chips?

3) Is the final $1000 event field broken in two fields (Fri. and Sat.) like most large championship events nowadays and how many advance to Sunday?

4) I head that some of these events are full!?!?

My point is it would be helpful if the casino/poker room had links/attachements where this info. can be viewed online......

Thanks!

POsted by a friend on my local board:

Well I got the lowdown on the tournament series an hour away from metro Detroit....

First three tournaments (Tue. Sept. 20 thru Thur. Sept. 22nd) are sold out.

The final event is still open for registration...here is info I got from then....

Dates...Friday, Sept. 23 thru Sunday, Sept. 25th

Buy-in = $1,000 + $40

300 players (field spilt in two)

150 play down to 30 on Friday, 4 PM
150 play down to 30 on Saturday, Noon
Final 60 play on Sunday at Noon

$300,000 total prize pool

$90,000 first place (approx.)

top 30 paid

Starting Chips = $5,000

Blinds start at 25/25
50/100
75/150
100/200
200/400
300/600
400/800
500/1000
etc. etc.

Sounds like a great structure until your about the blind levels...

20 MINUTES!

You may not get a round of hands in at 20 minute levels?!?!
