Review Hand 3
What do you do when he bets into you on the turn? Your flop check would seem to induce that a lot, I suspect.

Re: Review Hand 3
For reference here is the hand (2 diamond on the flop, hero has no diamonds):
[ QUOTE ] Hand 3: PartyPoker - $0.50/$1 Texas - 10 players (Converter: PGC) MP3 is 50/0/- (2) Hero is Button with K A PreFlop UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 Calls, MP2 folds, MP3 RAISES, LP1 folds, CO folds, Hero RAISES SB folds, BB folds, MP1 folds, MP3 Calls (2 players) FLOP: 3 7 5 ( Pot Size: 4.25 BB ) MP3 checks, Hero checks (2 players) TURN: 9 ( Pot Size: 4.25 BB ) MP3 checks, Hero BETS MP3 Calls (2 players) RIVER: 8 ( Pot Size: 6.25 BB ) MP3 checks, Hero checks Final Pot:6.25 BB [/ QUOTE ] You should definitely bet this flop heads up. You'll often pick it up right there and if not, there's no reason to give your opponent a free chance to outdraw you. More often than not, this is a value bet (it's more likely your opponent is drawing than sitting on a pair). Standard line here is bet/bet/check. (Bet/check/call is the other standard line here). |

Re: Review Hand 3
This is just one of many hands in the session where preflop or flop aggression would have likely won a pot that the poster ended up losing.

Re: Review Hand 3
See, this is exactly what I'm thinking. I always bet this flop with one opponent, since I can very either get him to fold now or extract a bet from him and them force him to fold the turn. I see a lot of overcards calling the flop bet but not the turn continuation. I think even if he calls here, a turn bet is a possibility. I just think the flop bet is weak and will induce a lot of bluffs that we can't call on the turn.
