6-max is far more fun. More hands, more tough decisions, more value, more maniacs. Plus you learn how to play position better, as well as hand read.

You see less opponents, making it easier to study them. They play more hands per hour, giving them more opportunities to make bad plays. You and your opponents will play more hands per hour, giving you lots more strategic experience.
