Rooms close to Destin?

I'm headed to Destin FL for a week, any rooms close or suggestions on playing close there?

You should avoid all land-based public cardrooms in Florida, due to the horrible statewide rake structure. Look into any boat cruises in the area, although I believe on the Gulf side the boats have to sail 9 miles out before gaming can begin. This makes for a long trip, with about half of your time on the boat spent "travelling."

I don't think there's much near Destin.

I visit there 3-4x a year generally (my parents and sister live there) and have never seen nor heard anything.

There might be some casino boat somewhere in that area though that i'm unaware of.

Generally I would have said that your best bet was probably the 3 hour drive to Biloxi..but obviously that's not an option for the next few months.

I think the closest cardroom is JCKC in Monticello (NE of Tallahassee), and that place is mostly dead except weekends and select nights. As for a boat, I think you'll need to go all the way to Jacksonville, unless there's a boat out of Pensacola or Mobile I'm unaware of.

Otherwise, Tunica is the closest on land, I think. So, in short, no.

there is on at ebro? dog track. Its about 20-30 minutes from Destin, we always went to the dog track when we went to Destin/Santa Rosa Beach
