Small blind play in a limped pot early in a MTT
Simply put, what range of hands can I complete with in a typical low to medium buy-in MTT early on when the pot is limped around to me? I find that I end up folding more often than not unless I have a decent limping hand that I'd play otherwise. How much am I able to loosen up in this position? Should I play any connectors a majority of the time?

Re: Small blind play in a limped pot early in a MTT
you'll find yourself in some tough situations if you play too many hands.
it comes to whether or not you are comfortable playing postflop out of position against like 5-6 opponents. any hand can take your whole stack (unless you have big chiplead) i used to limp a lot just because of the huge pot odds. i found i couldn't cope with the tricky situations and would end up folding a lot of the time after investing more than i should have. |
