Default Short Stacked 66 vs. Big Raise and Big Call

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) converter

BB (t2095)
UTG (t1135)
Hero (t1040)
CO (t4445)
Button (t4340)
SB (t1945)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls t100, Hero calls t100, 1 fold, Button raises to t450, 2 folds, UTG calls t350, Hero??

Why are you calling >10% of your stack off OOP with 66 preflop?

How the hell is 10bb short stacked? Just push or fold preflop, and I lean towards fold.

Well at least he tells you how he really feels. That said, I agree with every word he said. You need at least 15BB to be limping for set value, but I pretty much never do this after Level 2.

I was just limping hoping to flop a set. It was less than 10% of my stack and I didn't think I was quite at push/fold stage yet...then again, I wasn't sure, and I was tempted to push into the raiser...which looking at it now I think may have been suicidal.

Still learning...thats why I posted.

It's basically >10% with the blinds to hit you in 2 hands time. But the main point is it's OOP. You can get raised behind (as happened) and even if not, it's very rare you'll get to act last on the flop. You're more likely to be sandwiched between the blinds, the UTG limper and whoever calls after you. Not a pleasant situation when the pot is likely to be around 4-500.
