Default One more: 99--how\'d I do?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Villain (BB) is another loose-passive fish. Around 60%, 2%pfr, aggression <1 with his greatest aggression coming on the later streets. Should I be flogged for not betting this river?

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, BB raises, MP2 folds, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.

Turn: (8.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (10.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 10.25 BB

Let's see. He called two more to him preflop, so you'd think he'd have something halfway decent preflop, although since he's 60 VP$IP and defending his big blind, who knows?

I can imagine him slowing down with his TT, in legitimate fear of a bigger pocket pair or maybe even irrational fear of trips after you 3-bet his flop checkraise. (And, given that he's up against a preflop 3-bettor, I don't think he'd be wrong to slow down.)

If by some chance BB was checkraising a flush draw on the flop, well, that just came in. So that's another consideration.

I don't really have a problem with the river check behind. You don't beat any overpair to the flop, and the flop checkraise of a preflop 3-bettor does represent some strength.

What do you expect him to call with here that you can beat? If you think he's got the 8 often enough, then betting is great. Fwiw, I would check, too, but I'm a wuss in these situations.

I think he has an 8 here often enough that you need to bet.

Bet/fold here.
