Re: Super Size Me-a film of epic portions.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Morgan left out so much material that would've made him less credible, and made subtle edits to make his situation much more dramatic. [/ QUOTE ] Such as? [/ QUOTE ] Skewing the definition of a "month." In actuality he stopped at 28 days. Not the biggest deal in the world but to be technical about it, he lied to millions of viewers. Also, there were several "candid" scenes that were staged, i.e. phone call with girlfriend and interview with girlfriend |

[/ QUOTE ] No. Another one I remember was the step-o-meter thing (I don't remember if this was in the movie or not). In the footage I transcribed, he admitted that it was inaccurate, as it would add steps while they rode in cabs. |

But Morgan really wasn't the best candidate for doing this diet I'm sure. His fiancee is a damn vegan chef. Switching from health food to McDonald's is going to absolutely kill you. Someone who is used to that kind of food though would probably be better off with trying a diet like this. I think it's best to say that with this movie, "your mileage may vary." I can honestly say though, that I can't eat at McDonald's at all. If I eat one of their burgers, I'll honestly feel sick to my stomach. EDIT: I have to say though, I was very impressed by his FX show "30 Days." His shows on minimum wage, Islam, and homosexuality were especially great. |

Yes, eating butter with your own hair in it is a MUCH healthier alternative.

Re: Super Size Me-a film of epic portions.
The movie was weak because it was so extreme. It would be more interesting to see if someone who decided just to eat lunch at McD for say 3 months had worse health.
I mean 5000 calories a day a McD - no one does that. |
