QQ facing limp raise from UTG+1
Hero is at seat 0 with $26.60.
pP1 is at seat 1 with $27.85. PP2 is at seat 2 with $24.75. PP3 is at seat 3 with $9.15. PP4 is at seat 4 with $54.60. PP5 is at seat 5 with $4.35 (sitting out). Villian is at seat 6 with $12.35. PP6 is at seat 7 with $15.25. PP7 is at seat 8 with $18.20. PP8 is at seat 9 with $8. The button is at seat 1. SB posts the small blind of $.10. BB posts the big blind of $.25. Hero: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Pre-flop: UTG1 folds. Villian calls. MP1 calls. MP2 calls. Hero raises to $1.75. Button folds. SB folds. BB folds. Villian re-raises to $3.25. UTG 3 folds. MP2 folds. HERO calls. Pot 7.75 Flop (board: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]): Villian goes all-in for $9.10. Hero ?. This was on UB. I have noticed there have been a lot of suited flops on UB lately? THe villian had bet almost all flushes and was limping when ever possible and raising much more than typical. The limp re-raise is a typical AA or KK play. Thats what I smelled, but with the push on the flop is one of his cards a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]? If not it seems like i have 1.9:1 PO on flush/trip draw (1.3:1). I Think AA no [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I know my mistake was probally calling the limp raise. What is the typical line of thinking on the overbet/push? THanks, Bco1/75 |

Re: QQ facing limp raise from UTG+1
I think the that fact that your could have the best hand combined with the fact that you probably have 11 outs if you are behind makes this a call. The only real disaster would be if you ran into Ad Ax or Kd Kx or Ad Kd. I'd call.

Re: QQ facing limp raise from UTG+1
Easy call.
Overpair (probably ahead already) If your not ahead, youve got plenty of outs to win, if he flopped a monster he wouldnt be pushing a 9 dollar bet into a 7 dollar pot unless he likes to push out second best hands. |

Re: QQ facing limp raise from UTG+1
Thanks, I called and he showed a pair of black Aces I took down the pot when a diamond hit on the river.
I lately, have been having troubles with overbets. I hit a streak of calling the wrong ones. looking back on this hand I hope I would have been able to make the right call if I did not have an over pair and a flush draw. |
