Dealing with Tilted TAG
So under what circumstances (besides the obvious aa/kk) do you call an all-in COLD?
At a 1/2 home game a solid but very aggro player is steamin after a brutal beat. One limper when it gets to him in the CO and he ships it Allin in a big sloppy heap. 140$ I'm in the SB with plenty of chips. What is the worst hand you call with here? (The limper looks like he smelled a diaper filled with Indian food so I sincerly doubt he's callin')...(Same goes for BB who has less than 140 and looks ready to leave the game in disgust). Please give your thoughts on: AK AQ AJ Ax suited Pairs 66-TT TT-QQ I had a sneaky feeling this was Fake Tilt, but with AK or AQ I still might wanna gamble...He may be gettin silly with AJ... Even Ax might be good! Tho' less than 66 I wouldn't even consider... To make it worse after I folded, he did it three more times in the night. It certainly wasn't AA every time. I would tell you exactly what I had but I'm pretty sure he reads this forum... Many I've asked about this say: fold all but AA. C'mon y'all I don't like money that much! |

Re: Dealing with Tilted TAG
Probably add 1010-QQ. You've got to know if he's smart enough to fake-tilt. I don't like it without a pair.

Re: Dealing with Tilted TAG
I going to bump this with the assumption that if no one responds further then the answer is:
[ QUOTE ] JJ--AA. Not AK. Nothing else. [/ QUOTE ] Oui? I guess I'm just a maniac... |

Re: Dealing with Tilted TAG
I faced a similar situation a few months ago when I was playing a $1-$2 live game in AC. Some donkey UTG raises to $200. I was in the small blind with AK and instamucked. There is just no way I am gambling with players I think I am better than on a coinflip. I'll go to the blackjack tables if I want to do that. I am not calling w/o AA-QQ.
