So long, GOAT.

Interesting, they're talking about this on ESPN radio, and Mel Kiper Jr. calls Elway the GOAT.

Kiper's hair wax apparently has started to corrode his brain stem.

I thought you were calling him a goat. I was pretty shocked. I'm dumb.

I consider myself lucky to have grown up a 49er fan and am still in awe of what he was able to do on the field.

Rice was my favorite player growing up and maybe I'm biased but I consider him the greatest, but like Clark said he's at worst a very close number 2 to Jim Brown and theres no shame in that.

I remember reading about this guy signing a 5 year contract a year ago. Seemed a bit dumb for a 41 yr old........ I know nothing about NFL but to be competing at the top in a widely participated, physically gruelling sport at the age of 41 is a phenomenal achievement.

btw his retirement halves the number of current NFL players that I know

contracts in the NFL have noithing to do with how long they actually expect to play. they stretch them for salary cap reasons.
