Default 5-10 UB hand

Been playing at the table for about 30 minutes, haven't played many pots yet. The opponent appears to be reasonable, more on the tight side. I've seen him bet out on a ragged flop and fold to a raise a few hands before ...

I like it a lot, but bet more on the end, like the pot. That river card just looks like such a blank, it seems unlikely villain will lay down JJ/AT.

And as if you did not already know, you are a crazy LAG. Open with 4-6 from EP?!?...but they were soooooted. Sweet. Especially when it hits.

i think the river is a perfect spot for an overbet, as opponent will never put you on the straight, and you played it just like a flush draw

Allin,

If you happen to come back to this thread, why 250 instead of 200?

Thanks as always,

Nigel

because his hand, the board, opponent, and situation dictate a half pot raise isn't sufficient. therefore, tacking 50 more, makes the raise a little more credible. (with regard to accomplishing its task)

I'm a big 46 suited guy myself.

Also, I bet the turn.

i like it OK but on the runner runner straight river I think I'd bet a little more. You're obviously not checking behind with a very strong holding on the turn and it's hard to put you on a 4 or 89, so I think this is a good opportunity to throw out full pot to "jump on the weakness villain has shown." But you didn't mention if he's tight and good or tight and bad. If he's tight and knows how to think, full pot... if he's tight and bad, I like your line.

p.s. what's the math behind betting the turn assuming you have half the deck in outs? (like advantages for pot committedness of villain when you hit, folding equity, all that)?

Thanks for all your responses, guys! La, if you bet the turn, how much do you bet? Also, if he flat calls it and the river is a blank, then what?
