Re: Is not 3-betting TPTK weak/passive play?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Ok. I now realize that on-line low-limit poker has a lot of donkeys limpin UTG with KJ/KJ/Kx suited. [/ QUOTE ] Isn't it rad? [/ QUOTE ] oh the joys of the word rad Easy 3-bet of flop, lead turn. Call UI if flop is capped. Another reason to 3bet is to possibly knock out the other dude who sucked out and got his 4 or to make the "any piece" fools like him call down with his dead money. |

Call UI if flop is capped. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. If the flop is capped we can probably fold the river UI. |

Well UTG had K3 and the blind sucked out on the river when a four came, so I guess you would have pumped up the pot with the worse hand. [/ QUOTE ] What a results oriented noob. |

Re: Is not 3-betting TPTK weak/passive play?
I like to call the guy and then raise him on the turn. If he is on a flush draw, you have position on him and can charge him a big bet on the turn. Also, if the flush card comes on the turn, you can call him down and have essentially saved yourself 1/2 of a big bet. Anyone else agree with this?

Re: Is not 3-betting TPTK weak/passive play?
Dont forget the fact that villain will most likely slow play a hand that is beating u on a HU, raggedy flop like this. U will most likely here from a set or 2 pair on the turn after he calls the flop.
This makes it even more likely that he has a worse K. |
