Another hand, same tourney a little later on, rebuy period is over.
Anyone drop this on the turn?? What about a raise from the button preflop?? Re: Is this flop push okay???
#1 is ok I guess since its in the rebuy period and you could be called by lots of hands and can rebuy yourself if you run into an ace.
#2 is a clear fold. When you limp in with JTs, you're not looking to go broke with top pair, crappy kicker. At the very least you're up against a bigger kicker, but I'd say more likely ..two pair or better. On another note, I'd probably raise this when its folded to me on the button. |

Re: Is this flop push okay???
I hate hand 1. Its in the rebuy period and you are up against the big stack so he calls with any ace so you are basically only winning more chips here when you had the better hand anyway. If you are commited to playing this hand for all your chips I'd check-raise all-in as thats the only way you get more chips from a worse hand.
Hand 2 is a fold. He called your flop raise and led the turn, shows huge strength and I suspect he has a better ten or a set. You raised the flop to see if he could beat top pair weak kicker and you got your answer, give it up. |

Re: Is this flop push okay???
Hand 1
[ QUOTE ] just push preflop in hand 1 [/ QUOTE ] is right. Approximately noone in the 11r would open for 300 and fold to a push. Hand 2 is a fold for all the aforementioned reasons. What are you beating? Thats exceedingly unlikely to be a bluff. Everett |
