Re: mini step 5 level 1
I remember that name from datamining, even though I don't remember the record behind it, and based on that one fact alone this was a pretty good fold.

I think this is the easiest push ever, period. |

Re: mini step 5 level 1
Huge overbet preflop is usually a hand people don't want to play a flop with ususally, TT-JJ or AK. So I stop and go.

Don't get me wrong, if he's good he could very well have 94o and be making a move, but your implied odds on this hand suck ass. |

Re: mini step 5 level 1
My advice is not to raise to 70 in the first place. I'd raise to 45-50. |

Re: mini step 5 level 1
I've never played a Step 5 in my life, but I really don't think you could be that wrong by pushing or folding.
I think the only bad decision would be to flat call with the intention of folding at some point. That's 40% of your stack very early in the tournament. I'm not sure how you could bet out and fold to a raise when the flop comes all rags as one poster suggested. A bet on the flop would have to be at least 225 chips or so and if you fold you'd be crippled. All in all, I would probably push. I just don't feel like it's reasonable to put the raiser on exactly AA or KK unless you've played a reasonable number of hands with him. |

Re: mini step 5 level 1
Good adivce, the same I was going to give. Would help out a lot in this spot. 70 is a precarious raise that can put you in a precarious position expecially with this precarious hand.

Re: mini step 5 level 1
Its just hard to get any value whatsoever with QQ after raising utg in a Step 5 to 70. If I make it 45 and the utg+2 guy raises to like 150-200, Ill probably just fold, but it depends.
