Default Middle set on a low board LO8

Party Poker (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero calls, UTG+2 calls, MP2 calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero?

I'll post the rest of the hand later, I want to know what you all would do here. Middle set won't usually hold up in a multiway pot with a 2-flush out. Plus I am only playing for half the pot. But it is almost certain I have the best hand right now, so should I raise to knock out draws?. Anyway, call, fold, or raise? Thanks.

I'm tempted to call here for a cheap bet and see if another A,4,or 7 comes out. If it doesn't hit, fold.

Raising is not good, because the low limit guys will not give up flush draws and all the possible straight draws out there. You're an underdog to all those possible draws.

I don't like folding. If you hit your boat, you will be paid off by low limit donks still drawing for flushes and straights as well as second (third?) best lows. In addition, the chance of a bigger boat(AA holding) is greatly reduced with you holding an ace in your hand in this instance.

Sean - This time I'd fold. You have flopped middle set on an all-low flop with two cards in the same suit, and have one of your outs in your own hand. Thus there's even less chance of making a full house than usual. You probably do have the best high right now, but your set probably won't hold up (will lose to a straight or flush) and if you make a full house, it well may be a loser. I don't think you have a good chance to knock out anyone who has a decent draw for a straight or flush. Finally you are only playing for half the pot.

Seems a clear fold to me.

Check fold. Obviously. You have a draw to half a pot and nothing more.

Yes, but you're a bad player and he didn't want the advice from them. You are getting freerolled on the flop. Fold before you put in any amount of money that becomes relevant.

I think this is an easy fold. Some players may be tempted to play because they probably have the best hand right now. In poker you do not get anything for having the best hand preflop, on the flop, or on the turn. What is important is having the best hand on the river. I do not think your chances are too good to have the best hand on the river. Plus, as you pointed out, you are only playing for half the pot.

I hear players often saying things like "I had the best hand on the flop" after they lose on the river. Don't get married to your hand. If you are not likely to be the winner at the end, stop putting money into someone else's pot.

As others have said, if you think that you can knock out the other opponent with a raise here...then it's ok. Get it heads up and take your chances.

I don't think they will fold this with this flop, but if you have found yourself at a table with a bunch of weak tight players...ok, give it a try.

If you are at a normal low limit table with people calling all the way to the river, wait for a better spot. Check/fold.

Either fold or raise. Calling sucks. Your only real chance to scoop is if you can get heads up now and get lucky on the next 2 cards. If you raise then you may get weak flush draws to fold and only be left with 23 or 56 holdings. If you don't think a raise will thin the field, then definitely fold.
