I cant believe what I'm reading, either you are all liars or you guys are terrible poker players. There are no ethics involved. I just cannot fathom this. I've only had someone disconnect once but I raised as fast as I could every time because I play to win and having a non shitty ISP is an edge I choose to use just like knowing ICM.

As a poker player I try to make as much money as possible if that means stealing blinds to a disconnected player so be it.

If a player is willing to entrust a sit n go of any amount of money to his server, then he should be responsible for it. Nobody should bet money online if their connection is poor, it is asking for trouble. I'm sure this wouldn't be much of a discussion if a player at a casino fell asleep at the table.

On top of that, for those people who make a living through this, they cannot afford to have one of their four tables stagnant for an hour while the player is not returning.

I respect the ethics involved, but it's just not practical. For huge tournaments, fine, but one SNG shouldn't be consequential to the man anyway, if he is playing his bankroll right.

have no honor
take yourselves far too seriously
and are cowards

If you can't give someone who's down on there luck an even chance, then who will you ever help?..Yourself?

If you are having a good game against someone who loses the connection, then slow play it until they reconnect (unless it's for major money!). However, last night I was playing against an A1 a***hole who was trying to wind me up with a bunch of stupid comments about my play etc.
How funny when he lost his connection. I wasted no time in blinding him down. He came back into the game when he had t270 left and gave me a hard time for being unethical. I loved it!

I usually give people a couple minutes of stalling in this spot. I don't fold my big hands on their BB, but I will take all my time and fold most hands. After a few minutes I will stop it, but I don't mind giving someone time to reboot and reconnect.
