Stealing, Stealing, Pretty mama don\'t you tell on me.
stars 10R.
I have a stack of 60k. Blinds are 1500-3000. Im Button. SB has 35k. I have been stealing like a mofo the whole tourny, and have been at this table. Sb has done nothing about it so far. Is tight otherwise as well. I raise to 8k, SB pushs. What range are you calling with here? |

If you guys don't mind, is there math behind your ranges that you'd call with? or those just gut feelings?
I'm not questioning them, just i like to know the reasoning for everything |

So basically you break down his range of hands he can do this with, which for me could mean any 2, any king or any ace. So the range you want to call with on average will beat his range. Im not really a math guy so i cant calculate the EV of this move for you, but in general your ahead here and its a good way to build a stack. |

for what its worth, i didn't get the feeling that SB was pissed when he pushed. It didn't "feel" like a total spite push.

Eh, justify calling with KQ, and 66, but not 55. I suppose you have to draw the line somewhere, but why here. What about A8s, or KJs?

[/ QUOTE ] I dont think you can automatically say the SB is pissed and is pushing with air, rather I think there is a good chance he has finally woken up with a premium hand. So I tighten my calling standards. I realize your getting decent odds to call here, but I think I call with a pair of 10s and up. and I like A9 and up. KQ also. |
